August Rush - A Film For The Non-Conscious Mind

We have had a couple of songs for the non-conscious mind over recent months but here is a really good film for the non-conscious mind that I came across recently, August Rush.

The film, directed by Kristin Sheridan, tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York's Washington Square. They are soon torn apart however, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams), August (Freddie Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth.

The film has a very simple yet extremely powerful message. Whatever it is, play your music, your way. No matter what your music is, no matter what your purpose is, go out and do it. The right people will find you when they are ready to hear.

Have a look at the trailer here.

'The music is all around us, all you have to do is listen.'

Make it a great week, it's your choice.

My best

Séamus
